On New Year's Eve, I went to Rinshoin with my share house friends to hit the joya no kane. Rinshoin is a temple that enshrines the Kasuga Bureau in front of the house. The Kasuga Bureau statue was relocated here from Rekisen Park in 2019, so students who were in the share house before the Corona disaster will not know about this statue.The Kasuga Bureau is a historical woman who played her role with her determination and crawls up from her adversity to influence politics. In Japan, most of the statues are men, but it is one of the few statues of women.
When I entered Sanmon Gate, there was a majestic world of the ゆく年くる年 (a classic TV program).
At the end of the well-kept garden is the main hall, where you can join hands and head towards the bell. The bell starts ringing at 23:45.
As I walked through the line listening to the ringing of the bell, the clock reached midnight. When the neighbors said "Happy New Year", the atmosphere of the place became lively. Meanwhile, a small child is also ringing a bell.
And it's our turn. Hit the bell with a little nervous while many people are watching. With this, we can get rid of the anxieties and welcome the new year with a correct and pure heart.
At the end, I got a towel for New Year's greetings and a お札 for exterminating the plague and returned to the house.
I later noticed that a fortune slip and a tiger key holder were included with the towel.
